Welcome back, Auggies! Whether you're on campus or online, we're so glad to see you. Have a great first day of classes!

As we pray for the horrors unfolding in Minneapolis, our hope is found in the many ways our community is showing up for neighbors through witness, resistance, and prayer.

While it is difficult to be away from Minneapolis in these days, Augsburg University Christensen Scholars have been learning about and practicing the power of compassionate, justice-centered Christian community in beautiful western Montana. These scholars have been immersed in rhythms of study, worship, volunteering, rest, and play as ways of deepening vocational discernment in and for this hurting, beautiful world that God so loves.

Augsburg University's Christensen Scholars are halfway through their time at Holden Village, and they have fully immersed themselves in the life of this community: Volunteering, leading worship, studying, walking, weaving, praying, sauna-ing, and making new connections.

Tonight, they will assist in Holden's evening Holy Communion service, as we have been reflecting on how meals in general - and this meal, in particular - forms and holds community.

Augsburg’s cohort of Christensen Scholars arrived safely in Holden Village, joined by Pr. John Schwehn and Abigail Pribbenow! Our learning has been focused on the question of “What connects us to one another?”

Several of our students are also learning to XC ski in this beautiful mountain wilderness!

Fiesta of the Virgin of Guadalupe on December 5th at 11:30 am in Hoversten Chapel. Come for a festive service of music, roses and tamales! Pastor Hierald Osorto, Lead Pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church/Iglesia Lutheran San Pablo in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will share a message and we will have students, staff, and faculty help lead the service.
