Matthew Stone graduates from CFANS this spring as a nutrition major on the pre-med track. He served as President of the CFANS Undergraduate Student Board, a key leadership position for the College.

After graduation, he will work as a clinical research coordinator and apply to medical school. Many of his CFANS nutrition courses applied the philosophy, "let food be your medicine."

"This is a philosophy I plan to instill in myself when I am a practicing physician," said Matthew.

During his coursework in CFANS, he gained skills in laboratory techniques that prepared him for his future career.

His advice for students just beginning their journey in CFANS?

"Don't be afraid to attend office hours or ask the professor any question, even if it is outside the scope of the class! It was really amazing being in CFANS because all my major courses were relatively small, especially at the upper level, and it made it really easy for all of us to get to know the professor."

Congratulations to Matthew and the CFANS Class of 2024!

Share using during your celebrations this week.
