The results are in … 100% of our students that completed our “New Activisms, Human Rights, and Social Justice” program would recommend the program to other students! Cheers to our absolutely fantastic team in Guatemala & Costa Rica for creating such amazing and life-changing programs for our students. A few lovely quotes from our students’ reviews:

“The guest speakers made the program for me! I learned so much from them and they gave me different perspectives on various topics from their own person experiences!”

“[The CGEE] Staff was great so helpful and wonderful. I knew I could talk to them about anything.”

“The Homestays were one of the best parts of the program!! I think they were such an amazing way to really connect with people and gain a better sense of understanding of the cultures. I had such an amazing experience in all of my homestays and I miss them all dearly!”

On May 17th we got to spend the day celebrating Norway’s Constitution day in Oslo. We watched the parade and enjoyed each other’s company as we are nearing the end of our time here! 🇳🇴

Ahhhhhh I can’t believe we’re leaving TOMORROW. I loved living in Mexico, I can’t wait to go back. I loved our classes and our professors and our guest lecturers and our field trips and our home stays. I love my home stay dads. I loved going out into Mexico’s night life for the first time, encouraged by my friends in the program. I love the friends I’ve made in my program! Whoever was in charge of study abroad admissions knew what they were doing because it didn’t take long for us to click. Forever grateful for the connections and memories I made here, Les amo cada de ustedes. ❤️🇲🇽

With finals coming up next week, we had our last excursion learning about the biodiversity that exists just a little outside Fredrikstad. We also got some time to relax at the sauna too!

This past week Augsburg’s CGEE New Activism, Human Rights and Social Justice program had the amazing opportunity of staying in the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. The first day we stayed in Cahuita and the last three days were spent at Amubri, a Bribri indigenous territory. We had an amazing time learning about the communities who live there and appreciated spending more time in nature.

Hey y’all, it’s me Sergio back to you all with an encapsulation of my time in Mexico over 2026 spring semester. 11 more days till we finish our program, and it’s been an extraordinary experience with everyone I came across. I can go on forever describing my experience here, but instead of that, here is a beautiful video of my culture, my home, and my community.
