Preach.
Just another reminder for everyone who carries behind their back that the only person you’re concealing that firearm from is YOU.
1- You have NO actual weapon retention.
2- You are also violating a bunch of firearm safety rules with your draw and holstering. Recognize that you can only do this _____ times before you have an incident.
3- No instructor worth their weight is going to advocate for you to carry this way.
4- Is his laser on? Don’t even get me started on lasers!
Fill in any thoughts I’m missing!

Over the past decade or so we have participated in real criminal trials, sat in on mock trials for self-defense, and ran through simulations of deadly force encounters, and spoke with groups of people regarding what they saw, and how they would judge things if they were on a jury..
It lead us to conclude that there’s a difference between the law and the justice system .
The law is black and white. The justice system is not.
Stay educated, stay trained.
(Sidenote: that gun in that picture is too far extended and in real life would get snatched out of her hand. Why training through the right people as important as well)

Gang…
Starting to have second thoughts about the Smith and Wesson Shield EZ
Why?
Not a fan of grip safeties.
Well, I’m not a fan of safeties at all (entirely different status) but an additional grip safety does very little to add to the safety of your gun. Especially since many EZs already come with a thumb safety
Plus, engaging these is kind of an unnecessary hassle for a beginner.
I know I know. A grip safety is teaching someone how to properly grip a handgun. I get it. But if your hand is bigger, or smaller, or doesn’t fit the ergonomics of the gun, it’s an unnecessary hassle.
Owners of these feel free to let me know your thoughts. I’m just sounding out on something I noticed at the range with a few students a few weeks ago

On March 30th 1981 John Hinckley Jr attempted to assainate Ronald Regan in Dallas, Texas. In the mayhem he shot and partially paralyzed press Secretary James Brady
Hinckley bought the .22 revolver used in the attempted assassination at a pawn shop in Dallas. He lied on his application and was given the gun even though he had an arrest on his record for trying to bring a gun through airport and attempting to board a plane with it as carry on luggage (as well as a mental health evaluation)
Sarah Brady, James Brady’s wife spent the next 12 years on the gun control trail to enforce background checks because she believed had a check been run on Hinckley, Brady wouldn’t have been given the gun and her husband wouldn’t have been shot
As a result on November 30th, 1993 Bill Clinton Passed the Brady Law that requires NICS background checks on dealer fi****ms transfers
HAPPY BRADY DAY 🙃😐🫠
