Family Fun Night Fall Edition is underway!

There will be no school Oct. 15-17 due to conferences and Minnesota Educator Academy (MEA) break.

It's bike and walk to school day!!!! We'll get some more pictures and videos later of the Husky Hike and HUGE bike train once we collect them all so STAY TUNED!!

Is it too early to start planning for bike and walk to school day? We can't wait!! The morning will run like last year: the Hiawatha kids will get off the bus at Howe and walk with staff and volunteers to Hiawatha. Howe students will be doing the same thing, getting off at Hiawatha. Any student (busser or not) is welcome to join the walking bus!

Want to join a bike train instead of walking?
If you're south of Hiawatha: hop on the 44th ave+44th St train (leaves sharp at 9)
If you're north of Howe: meet at the Longfellow park tennis courts! (Leaves sharp at 9!)

There is a need for volunteer walkers and door greeters. We would also love to have someone taking photos!

5th grade starts their bike safety class and rides THIS WEDNESDAY! They are still in major need of volunteers otherwise they unfortunately are not allowed to leave school grounds. Please consider sparing 1.5 hrs of your day if you happen to have the time. You don't need to be a 5th grade parent and you don't have to commit to more than one ride!
