Our mission is to foster an inclusive, sustainable community and to teach sailing to all. Minneapolis Sailing Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) sailing school.

MSC was founded in 1989 by parents from the Calhoun Yacht Club who wanted a formal program for their children to learn to sail and to introduce the sport to others in the area. MSC has grown to one of the largest sailing schools in the U.S.

We had a great turnout for our second evening of Wednesday Night Racing!

The wind was perfect for some very sporty sailing and friendly competition. Afterwards we all grabbed some dinner and socialized at Pimento. It was so lovely being in community with you all, we hope to see you again next week.

Our fourth annual Raise the Sails fundraiser was a huge success on Friday! We're so grateful for everyone who attended, bid on silent auction items and made generous donations.

Your support means more people in our community get to experience the joy of sailing through our outreach programming and scholarships. THANK YOU!

Our Raise the Sails fundraiser is in 2 days! Join us this Friday at France 44 from 7-9pm for an evening of good company, great food, a cash bar, and a fantastic silent auction.

Last week, Edison High School students came down to Bde Maka Ska and learned to sail, swam in the cold waters, and joined the high school racing team in an Ensign race! Six students have been offered a full scholarship to join a youth camp this summer, and plan to join the high school team in the fall. Raise the Sails silent auction and donation proceeds will all go to this programming that encourages students who have never sailed before to become lifelong sailors.
