The Exploring 3D class adventured to Franconia Sculpture Park for a much needed field trip today! Continually amazed by this place and so so grateful for the opportunity to share it with others! Thank you ✨

Today we get to learn about the work, life, and creative practice of a truly inspiring duo- thank you for the virtual lecture, studio visit and for connecting with students, Audi and Ivy !

It feels so good to be a month into the semester and seeing works being generated and discussed. The new Exploring 3D class “Defined Sculpture” and the investigations of materiality, form, and content are outstanding!

It was an absolute delight for the Lighting and Accessories class to have our first critique of the semester- IN PERSON!!! Students were tasked with disassembling an existing light fixture, studying the parts and rebuilding a new light! Lots of inventive problem solving and really great conversation about intention, light quality, function, and making it work!

So excited to fill this space with learning and fun! School starts tomorrow- see you in the shop!

Today the Furniture as Art class gathered in person as a group for the first time in a year- we felt the sunshine in more ways than one with an outdoor critique and real FaceTime. Thank you students ☀️ for your perseverance, innovation, and humor.
