About 300 students attended the 6th Annual IPE day at the University of Maryland School of Nursing on April 6. The event hosted presenters, including Dean Jane M. Kirschling, PhD, RN, FAAN, who taught students how to effectively communicate with professionals outside of their area of study, what skills they can share with other disciplines, and how interprofessional communication affects the quality of care. Does Minnesota’s aging psychology workforce put our mental health system at risk? A recent survey of the state’s 3,824 licensed psychologists found that as many of a quarter of respondents were over 65 and planning to retire in the next five years.
