Lessons of Team-Based Care Come to Life 04/19/2018

“A deep commitment to interprofessional education and practice can both inform and truly transform the care that we give to our patients and their families."- UMSON Dean Jane M. Kirschling, PhD, RN, FAAN

About 300 students attended the 6th Annual IPE day at the University of Maryland School of Nursing on April 6. The event hosted presenters, including Dean Jane M. Kirschling, PhD, RN, FAAN, who taught students how to effectively communicate with professionals outside of their area of study, what skills they can share with other disciplines, and how interprofessional communication affects the quality of care. We think every day should be IPE day!
