Thank you to all the parents from our Oak toddler community who joined us for a workshop on Thursday evening! The topic was toilet learning, and lead guide Maegan shared lots of tips and tricks to reassure parents as they support their children in this amazing (and totally manageable) stage of their development!

💚 GIVE TO THE MAX – CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF HEARTWOOD! 🌿

Every November, Heartwood Montessori joins Minnesotans across the state for Give to the Max Day — a beloved tradition that celebrates community generosity and supports local organizations like ours.

This annual fundraiser helps sustain the ongoing needs that keep Heartwood thriving.

💫 This year, our theme is Investing in What Matters Most — Our People and Our Children, focusing on staff training and scholarships that strengthen our guides and support families.

Earlier this fall, the Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) launched a GoFundMe to help repair our toddler playground after it was vandalized — an unexpected, one-time need that our community generously rallied around. We’re deeply grateful for that incredible support from the community!

Give to the Max, however, is Heartwood’s annual fundraising tradition, supporting the bigger picture of our school’s mission and long-term growth.

Join us for the 5th Annual Halloween Community 🎃 stroll at Heartwood Montessori School!

We’ll have fun activities, teachers dressed up in their Halloween costumes & spooky healthy treats 👻 right outside the school!

Many of the 13th ave businesses will be passing out treats, there will be a Fire Truck there for the kids and much more! Wear your costume and come on down!! 🧙 🧙‍♀️

Hi everyone, as you may know, our toddler playground was recently badly vandalized.

We'd like to share that Heartwood’s Parent Involvement Committee (PIC Team) just launched a fundraiser, as a first step in helping to rebuild the playground. See below for the link.

Also one of our awesome PIC team members has a company called Interna Mental Health and Wellness, and they have generously offered to match donations up to $500 🤩

Every contribution, no matter how small or big, will help in this effort. If you're unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is also incredibly helpful.

Montessori is so much more than a sequence of lessons with specific materials, beautiful as they are ✨. Montessori is an approach to life, and a respect for the child.

We had a wonderful first week of the 25/26 school year at Heartwood!
We welcomed friends and families old and new, and began the work of building community in each classroom, learning routines and practices through the lessons we call 'Grace and Courtesies"

We have launched a custom Heartwood App for communication within our school, and we are moving away from using enrolled children's pictures in our social media. While we will continue to share broad news here, please let us know if you'd like to be added to our email list, to be invited to workshops or other community events!
