University of Minnesota Summer Music Theatre

scenes from such classic musicals as West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, Urinetown, Into the Woods, Cinderella and more!
–Participate in a wide range of scenes providing every performer a major role to play.
–Have hands-on experiences in the use of props, costumes, set elements and staging in the music theatre scenes they prepare.
–Perform in a showcase finale for family, friends and community in the Llyod Ultan Recital Hall. High school students with a strong interest in music theatre are encouraged to audition. Some previous music theatre experience a plus but not required; students should have some experience in one or more performance skills, including singing, dancing or acting. A 10% discount will be provided for returning students On acceptance into the program, a non-refundable registration deposit of $75 is required. The remainder of the fee ($350) is due on the first day of the program

Auditions
Auditions will be video submissions (YouTube or .Mp4 format) sent to [email protected]. Please record a memorized performance of one aria/art song/music theatre selection, as well as a one-minute monologue.
