Something remarkable happened at last week’s UnGala.

Hundreds of Cristo Rey supporters came together in support of our students and mission, raising over $530,000 and nearly doubling the number of donors compared to years past. That momentum reflects a growing community that believes faith, education, and opportunity can transform lives. Whether you were in the room or cheering from afar, you are part of this mission.

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School will be closed on Memorial Day as we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

A huge thank‑you to Homeward Bound for an outstanding first year of partnership. Their team welcomed four student interns, including senior Lizbeth, while providing real‑world experience, access to leadership conferences, and a strong professional support system. Homeward Bound has truly made a meaningful difference in our students' lives. And the best part — they're doubling their interns next year. We're incredibly grateful for the commitment to developing future healthcare leaders.

We’re grateful for our partnership with Monarch Healthcare Management. Monarch has grown its partnership from two students at one location to now sponsoring 20 students across five locations. It is incredible to see the way your team has welcomed our students, like Jade, into your community!

Thank you for giving interns the chance to jump into real administrative work, connect with residents during activities, and support families and visiting healthcare professionals. Your commitment to creating meaningful learning experiences truly stands out and is helping prepare the next generation of healthcare professionals.

We are excited to celebrate our partnership with Patterson Companies, Inc.! Since 2016, they have supported student interns like Jhonson and Sam, who are contributing to projects, research, and more while exploring the different departments that make up a business. Their supervisor, Kristina, shares, "Jhonson and Sam have been a joy in the office. They bring their energy to what they do, and we appreciate their contributions to our teams!"

On the last day of April, Boston Scientific volunteers joined Cristo Rey Juniors and Seniors for a lunch-and-learn, sharing their career journeys in STEM and offering insight into their day-to-day work. We are grateful for their valuable time and personal stories. In addition, thank you, Boston Scientific, for your generous financial support of our Robotics Club!

Healthcare partners, parents, and CNA students came together on Wednesday, April 29 to celebrate the strong partnership that supports Cristo Rey students in healthcare placements. The Showcase highlighted the shared commitment to forming skilled, compassionate young professionals who are already making a difference.

A student panel offered a firsthand look at how these experiences are shaping their growth, confidence, and sense of calling in the healthcare field. They spoke about what it means to serve patients with dignity and to learn in real clinical settings.

Healthcare partner panelists also shared the impact students are making within their organizations. They highlighted the professionalism, reliability, and care our students bring to their roles, along with the positive influence they have on teams and patients alike.

Together, we are investing in the next generation of healthcare leaders and making a lasting impact in our community.
