VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

Volunteer to pack meals with Open Arms! Open Arms of Minnesota is a nonprofit that cooks and delivers free, nutritious meals to people living with life-threatening illnesses in the Twin Cities

Must provide own transport and only drive with other members of one’s household. Strict COVID precautions will be in place during the event.

Kitchen Meal Prep & Packaging
When: Friday, October 16th from 1:30-4:00
Accommodates: 8-10 volunteers
Location: 2500 Bloomington Avenue Minneapolis, Minnesota 55407

Specifics: Volunteers meet at Open Arms for a brief orientation and food safety overview prior to their shift. Then the group members get aprons and hairnets on and wash up for the kitchen. Kitchen tasks typically include, but aren’t limited to chopping vegetables, packaging savory soups, scooping cookie dough and assembling meals in our state-of-the-art kitchen. Our chefs will be on hand to support the experience.
