This National Assistant Principal’s week we want to shout out the amazing Mr. Martin. He is smart, capable, compassionate, and wise beyond his years! Whittier is so lucky to have an AP who cares deeply about his students, families, and staff and always sees a solution for any problem. His kindness and positivity are a beacon for our school. We love you, Mr. Martin! Thanks for being our MVAP (Most Valuable Assistant Principal) 🤩

On Thursday we showcased our risk-takers at our “Whittier’s Got Talent!” talent show. We are so proud of these children and all of their supportive fans!!

Spirit Week concluded with “Stuffy Day” and “Spring Day” where students could bring their favorite stuffed animals and dress in florals, bright colors, or other signs of spring. Spring Break awaits!

To close out February, we had an awesome Black History Night made complete by an amazing performance about Black music throughout history and how it changed and continues to change the world!

Today we were so happy to be together and to celebrate our IB All-Stars! These students have led through their awesome examples of the IB learner profile. 🤩

We were so fortunate to have had a visit from The Bond Between for our Wolfpack Wednesday. Starting our day with the love and snuggles of puppies brought joy, grounding, and comfort to staff and a some lucky students. Out of an abundance of caution, there will be no school on Thursday, January 8, 2026 and Friday, January 9, 2026 due to safety concerns related to today’s incidents around the city.

The District will not move to e-learning as that is only allowable for severe weather. School will resume on Monday, January 12, 2026.

We ended our Spirit Week with Comfy-Cozy day as we looked forward to a relaxing winter break. The cuteness is too much to handle!! ❤️❤️
