As a florist I have fresh flowers in my house, always. Nothing fancy or expensive but flowers that are simple that add a pop of life and fresh color to the room. Here’s what I’m looking at this week. Happy spring to all!

If you’re like me and took down your holiday decorations today, or you will be doing so soon, here’s a florist pro-tip for your now de-cozified (is that a word?!) house: buy yourself a dozen white roses, snip some greens off your outdoor planter or wreath and wa-la! A beautiful floral piece to add keep some beauty and life in your house while storing all the red and green until next December.

While my business focuses on floral arrangements for weddings and large events, occasionally I get asked to create pieces to help remember someone’s life and add beauty to hard, mournful circumstances. Today was one of those occasional times and while creating I had the chance to ask the Spirit to comfort those who would see the flowers I arranged. When I got home I had a few flowers leftover so I made this small arrangement in hopes of giving it away to someone else who could use some comfort or hope or joy. Today’s bride earned her wedding day. Let’s just say - all the covid changes - but, so fun to adjust things and still create beautiful flowers to help celebrate love that will withstand pandemics and much more. Congrats Anna & Andy! @ Chaska, Minnesota
