Have you created a work space for your child yet at home? It does not have to be elaborate keep it simple. Need it to work for something else at other times? Consider getting a fun basket 🧺 or bin or re-using one you have to put all their supplies in so they have a dedicated place to keep them and don’t have to look for them when you clear the table for dinner. Need to have a few use the table buy a project board, yep the dreaded kind for project/science fair & cut it horizontally so all the way across so you still have the tri-folds. You now have 2 privacy screens they can decorate & make their own. Consider headphones 🎧 to block out the noise of others so the can focus easier or just in general or a headset, they don’t have to be the super expensive ones. And yes you can reuse notebooks and supplies from last year. 😉
Now take a picture of the space when set up! This will let them do it on their own! Do a picture of ready to go & of cleaned up too. Let me know how it goes.
As we approach the middle of August most everyone has heard how their child is headed back to school. What are your biggest concerns regarding their ADHD and executive functioning challenges and the way they are headed back to school?
