Our 25 minute focus sessions are for clients who have a specific, chronic injury. We use active and passive release techniques, along with Shockwave therapy, to help clients get long lasting relief when other treatments fail.
Active and passive release techniques increase range of motion (ROM) by breaking down adhesion-based scar tissue, releasing fascial restrictions, and relaxing hypertonic muscles to restore normal movement. These methods combine manual pressure with joint movementāeither by the patient (active) or therapist (passive)āto elongate tissues and improve circulation.
Active Release Techniques (ART)
Mechanism: ART is a, often painful, patented, movement-based massage technique that treats problems with muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves.
How it Works: A provider applies deep, targeted pressure to a specific adhesion or scar tissue while the patient actively moves the limb from a shortened to a lengthened position.
ROM Benefit: This action breaks up adhesionsādense bands of scar tissueāthat develop from repetitive strain, allowing the muscle to glide properly, reducing pain, and immediately improving ROM.
Passive Release Techniques
Mechanism: This involves the therapist or a tool applying external force to move the tissue or joint, without active effort from the patient.
How it Works: Often including methods like myofascial release or positional release, the practitioner applies sustained pressure to shorten or lengthen a muscle, allowing the nervous system to decrease tension (relaxation) and encouraging the fascia to release.
ROM Benefit: It restores flexibility by allowing the muscle fibers to relax and elongate, often reaching end-ranges of motion that a patient cannot achieve on their own due to pain or restriction.
After such a LONG week of work in the office, I finally get to change out of my work hair for the week into my fun weekend hair š„³
Iāve struggled with thinning, fine, limp hair since my thyroid cancer diagnosis at 18. Itās something Iāve always been super self conscious about. I tried ALL the things, extensions and coloring it to give it more body only made it worse over time š
So I started wearing wigs last summer, and honestly, no one could believe it wasnāt my real hair! Since then, Iāve gotten more adventurous, and now it is SO fun to be able to have long or short hair, try different colors and styles, anytime I want! One of the joys of being 47 is I also donāt care what people think anymore lol, and my husband says itās like being married to a Bond girl š
So cheers to the women who have embraced their alternative hair, and for those who donāt know where to begin, Iām happy to help ā¤ļø .shop

Reminder that session rates increase May 1!
I currently have over 200 clients who want to get in monthly, and just 120 appointments available! The way our practice has grown this last year has been unreal, and I want to thank all my loyal clients for supporting my small business year after yearā¤ļø
Every session includes 1-2 rounds of Shockwave therapy included in the price. Most practitioners in my area are charging an extra $40-60 per area for this therapy.
Iāve invested over $40,000 this last year between advanced technique and teacher trainings, travel, having an assistant part time, and equipment to give my clients the best experience and results possible. This will be the last price increase until summer of 2027.
Summer is always exciting with all our NHL and snowbird clients returning to MN next month, cheers to the most fun and productive summer yetš
