Grades 6-12 MPS Online students will still have class tomorrow.

Due to severe winter weather, there will be a severe weather day for MPS students Monday, March 16.

Students in elementary school (pre-K to 5) will have no school and students in middle and high school (6 to 12) will have an e-learning day in order to meet state required instructional hours.

MPS-sponsored programs and activities including adult education will be canceled.

MPS celebrates Minnesota Paraprofessional Recognition Week Jan. 19–25. 🎉

Educational Support Professionals (ESPs) play an important role in our schools by supporting students and teachers, strengthening connections with families, and helping create positive learning environments.

Minneapolis Public Schools will be closed Monday, Jan. 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and there is no school on Friday, Jan. 23 for a teacher record keeping day.

Out of an abundance of caution, there will be no school on Thursday, January 8, 2026 and Friday, January 9, 2026 due to safety concerns related to today’s incidents around the city.

The District will not move to e-learning as that is only allowable for severe weather. School will resume on Monday, January 12, 2026.

Open House! Welcome back to school. Join us on Thursday, August 28th from 4pm-6pm at the Davis Center. New students can pickup their devices, supplies, and meet their teachers. Returning students can pick up supplies and meet their teachers. Students in 3rd grade can return their IPad for a Chromebook, and students in 9th grade can swap out their old Chromebook for a newer device. All families are welcome to come and pick up a swag bag and meet your teachers.
