Last week, Augsburg hosted a Career Exploration Day for first-year students. One workshop offered was titled, "Navigating the Journey: Things I wish I would have known as a first year Auggie." This workshop was led by the Augsburg Alumni Board and included Alumni Board members and other Augsburg Alumni.

Thanks to our amazing Alumni for sharing their wisdom, offering bits of their story, and helping first-year students to think about what they can do now to prepare for their career in the future.

App connects drivers with lawyers to de-escalate police interactions during traffic stops 02/26/2024

✨ALUMNI SHOUTOUT✨

Distinguished Alumni Award Recipients Mychal Frelix '19 MBA and Andre Creighton '19 MBA share about their App, TurnSignl, in a recent interview with PBS.

About TurnSignl: Black-owned, Minnesota-based TurnSignl is an on-demand, real-time service that provides 24/7 legal guidance from an attorney to drivers while their camera records the interaction. When drivers are stopped by law enforcement officers or involved in a car accident, they can access live video chat with an attorney at the press of a button. TurnSignl attorneys are vetted and trained to de-escalate interactions between police, drivers, and passengers. TurnSignl was born out of necessity, in the same city where George Floyd tragically lost his life to police violence.
