Let’s gather for a Kenwood Family Bike Ride!

Sunday August 30th. We’ll meet at 9:45 am at Kenwood Park for doughnuts, then ride together around Lake of the Isles and Bde Maka Ska (returning to Kenwood Park around 11am).

Last spring, Kenwood families in the South Uptown neighborhood piloted a bike bus- a group ride to school with students and family members. It was a delightful experience that we will continue this year.

And we’d love to share the joy of riding to school with the entire school community! Maybe even inspire other neighborhoods to form bike and walking school buses for the 2026-27 school year.

Let’s give the Kenwood campus a back-to-school spruce up!

Stop by on Tuesday August 18th anytime between 9-11am for some light gardening and trash pick up. Kids, neighbors, everyone is welcome!

The gardens at Kenwood’s Outdoor Classroom are popping! Tomatoes, greens, cucumbers, and more.

Stop by the classroom’s little free library where you’ll find a stash of bowls, bags, and scissors so that you can take some fresh produce home with you.

Five more weeks of summer vacation! Minneapolis Public Schools resume on September 8th, and if your child is headed into elementary school, Kenwood would love to have them!

Kenwood students have been hard at work planting, and they’re ready to share at WOODY’S FREE FARMERS MARKET.

Stop by the Kenwood Outdoor Classroom on Wednesday July 1st from 11am to 12:30 pm and pick up some free produce!

Cabbage, basil, cilantro, dill, mint, and more. Small portions, big flavors!

☀️Summer meetup is today!☀️

All incoming kindergarteners and their siblings and families are welcome. It’s a great opportunity to connect with other Kenwood parents and kids before the start of the school year.

Tuesday, June 23 from 5pm - 7pm at Kenwood Park.
Pizza will be provided. In the case of inclement weather, we will gather in the Kenwood Rec Center.

Second meetup is Saturday, August 22 from 10am - 12pm at Kenwood School Playground.
