Looking for something to wrap the year up!? My amazing friend Brenda shared this darling video with me and my kids have been eating it up. Maycember is truly like the last mile in a race- hang in there everyone! We’ve been reading this story and playing along with instruments and taking turns to try out new ones. Super fun!

I’ve been quietly working crazy hours and I forget to post! I have so many things I can’t wait to share with you- but for tonight? I’m going to celebrate the completion of two grade level programs with 240 kids! I’m very blessed to work with some awesome homeroom teachers - and two bouquets tonight! 😊 I’m feeling the love- tomorrow’s version of me is going to have to put all that stuff away- because tonight’s me is going to get Pj’s on and crash!

What to do before winter break? Play alongs! I like to use the old tone bell kits- did you know you could paint them with plain old acrylic paint? I coat them with a mod podge too but it works! Are they great? No! Are they fun? YES! this way I can differentiate learning by either having students with one bar or five bars. It’s what we do too if you don’t have the budget ❤️

Double program time - grade one commotion in the ocean, grade 2 the day the crayons quit. Program organization matters! I hope this helps my littles.

Guessing game- give three clues and then see if your group can guess what it is! I use an old memory game, but you could easily print pictures or use rhythm cards. The best part is then you get to mail your card afterwards. I found these cute little mailboxes at target in the dollar spot a few years ago and I see that they have some similar ones this year. The large blue mailbox I found at a thrift store. Kids love to get letters!
