Test your Fall Trivia knowledge with UHSA’s Trivia Night!

This year’s questions will be largely fall-themed, such as fall food facts, fall traditions, fall sports, fall natural phenomena, and more! The in-person event will be located in Blegen 317. The top three scorers will receive prizes provided by UMN student business owners! Candy will be provided!

Looking to enjoy the last of the nice Fall weather? Join UHSA on Thursday, October 14th, from 4:30-6:30PM as we collect milkweed seed pods across campus! This event is part of Great River Greening’s Milkweed Seed Collection Volunteering Event, which they host every Fall. Great River Greening is collecting milkweed seeds from across the state of Minnesota to be redistributed at restoration sites. There are a variety of locations of milkweed plants on campus which we will harvest from, and then someone from the UHSA team will transport them to Great River Greening. We will all meet at 4:30PM outside of the North side (mall side) of CM Union. At the start of the event, we will give some more detailed instructions regarding harvesting and information about milkweed seeds. Google “Great River Greening Milkweed” for more information about collecting milkweed pods.

UHSA, the official student association of Honors students on campus, is now accepting applications to serve on the UHSA Board during the 2021–2022 academic year. UHSA provides a wide variety of programming that promotes intellectual, professional, and community development. As an officer of the group, you would participate in the planning of such programming and represent the collective voice of University Honors Program students.

We are very excited to anonounce our retreat topic for this year!

You’re invited to UHSA’s annual Honors Academic Retreat! Each year UHSA hosts a retreat for Honors students, composed of speakers, activities, time for discussion, time for engaging with other Honors students, and fun! This year, our retreat theme is: sustainable living and environmental justice. In the past, the retreat is two days and in person, and that limits the number of attendees-- however, this year has afforded us to allow attendance by any number of Honors students, and to split the retreat across three different days, allowing more flexibility.

Each session will begin at 2:15PM on April 17th, and then again on April 24th, and May 1st. Each session will have a different theme, with different speakers and different activities -- please join us everyday that you can! Each session will last up to 4:30PM, and will all be held virtually over Zoom. Please fill out the RSVP form linked below to help us gage a better understanding of how many folks will be attending -- if you can only attend one or two sessions, that’s okay! 🎨🌳🏔Painting with Bob Ross Night!

UHSA will be hosting our Painting with Bob Ross Night this semester via Zoom -- come paint happy little trees with us! This year, we will be hosting our annual Bob Ross night from 7PM-8PM on Friday, March 26th. You can sign up for the event, and to pick up supplies at Northrop Auditorium with the Google Form linked below. If you already filled out this form earlier, you do not need to fill it out again. After you submit the form, wait for an email from Ethan Culver with confirmation and appointment times to pick up supplies. These times will be on 3/18, 3/22, 3/24, and 3/26. Join us for a relaxing evening, painting and following along to a tutorial by the great Bob Ross 🎨🌳🏔
