Four on the Fourth is right around the corner! The tradition is to run 4 miles on the 4th, but really you can choose any distance you'd like to run this week! If you go for a Four on the Fourth run, we want to hear about it! Make sure you tag us with , and .
Happy Fourth of July week! We can't wait to see you out there! πππ
When we run, we are forced to dig deep. To find calm in chaos. To push past the difficult parts and physical pain. To quiet the little voice inside that says "stop," "you aren't good enough."
When we master finding peace in running, even in the midst of all the adversity, we all of a sudden are the keepers of an amazing skill. And the application of the skill of finding peace in times of difficulty transcends far beyond just the act of running.
Running brings us so much more than the physical fitness. To run is to grow. And what an incredible gift that is. π
What a great morning to enjoy a run with our friends from Bloomington Moms On The Run! Great breeze off the lake, sunshine, and even some welcome shade along Minnehaha Creek.
We have this tendency to think of being a runner as something elite, or that requires some specifications to be met before we can ascribe ourselves the title. But guess what? There are no specifications! π If you run ANY distance, at ANY speed, for WHATEVER duration, YOU are a runner!! Wear that badge with pride, you runner, you! π
The goal doesn't always have to be to speed up! Sometimes, we just need to go slow enough to *really* see and appreciate the little things. So go ahead, take that pictures of the mushrooms on the trail, stop and touch the moss, go ahead and admire that cool rock! You got this! ππ
Also, sometimes I run really, really far. So...there's that? π€π
