Couldn’t have chosen a better Brother to finish off our amazing school year! Brother Vavrichek has done more for this chapter than Bron has to Cleveland. During his time in Beta Mu, Bennett has held Rush Chair, Grand Scribe, Scholarship Chair, and is currently our Vice President. All of these positions were handled with immense dedication and zeal and we couldn’t thank him enough.

Yesterday some of the guys went to a local food bank called Todays Harvest to help out. Today’s harvest is a free fresh market in Maplewood. They are program of open cupboard and they serve over 1300 families each day. We are incredibly proud to be able to help out programs that do so much good for the community!

Today, we proudly celebrate 125 years of the Beta-Mu Chapter of Kappa Sigma at the University of Minnesota.

For over a century, our chapter has stood as a testament to the enduring values of brotherhood, leadership, scholarship, and service. For 125 years, we have upheld a tradition of excellence; challenging one another to grow, to lead with integrity, and to become better men in all aspects of life.

As we honor this milestone, we reflect on the generations of brothers who have shaped our legacy and laid the foundation for those who follow. Their commitment continues to inspire us as we look toward the future with pride and purpose.

Congratulations to Brother Arora for winning March’s Brother of the month. Ram is both our Risk Management Chair and our Judicial Board Chair, making sure our parties and social events run smoothly. We cannot thank Ram enough for the work he has put in to make sure KΣ is safe for everyone.

It was an active spring break for the Brothers of Beta Mu!

Congratulations to Brother Gossman for winning Februarys Brother of the month. Leighton has been an outstanding freshman this year; finishing top of his pledge class, as well as being elected as social chair, pledge educator, and guard on our extended executive board. He is a driven and determined Brother with a very bright future.

Today marks the kickoff of the Stephen Alonzo Jackson Weekend of Giving! This is a fundraiser for specific chapter scholarships. 100% of the donations go towards scholarships for brothers. Furthermore for this bingo board for every horizontal bingo one of the members of our executive committee will get pied in the face. Huge shoutout to our brothers who attended Feed My Starving Children today. They were able to send over 20,000 meals to Zambia and we challenge you all to show up and beat our score! A big thanks to Feed my Starving Children for hosting us, every meal makes a difference.

This past Saturday we hosted our second annual Northern Plains Conclave at the McNamara Alumni Center. Chapters from all surrounding states showed up in order to learn more about philanthropy, rush, and much more. Hoping to see you all again next year!
