Yesterday, our team participated in a Su***de Prevention Training hosted by NAMI. ๐Ÿ’™

It was a valuable opportunity to learn how to recognize warning signs, support those who may be struggling, and help create a more compassionate and informed community.

Thank you to everyone who made this training possible. Every conversation about mental health matters, and together, we can make a difference.

Today, American Indian OIC joined Mayor Jacob Frey, Hennepin County leaders, and community partners for a press conference discussing a new initiative focused on addressing challenges related to homeless encampments in Minneapolis.

We appreciate the opportunity to be part of conversations that bring together community organizations, government leaders, and service providers to explore solutions that support both community well-being and access to resources for those in need.

Thank you to everyone working collaboratively to strengthen our communities and create positive outcomes for Minneapolis residents.

Congratulations to Katie on her new role as President and CEO of the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery!

Katie has been an incredible leader and advocate during her time at American Indian OIC, and we are grateful for the impact she has made on our organization, our staff, and the communities we serve.

While we will miss her leadership, we are excited to see all the great things she will accomplish in this new chapter. Please join us in congratulating Katie and wishing her continued success as she leads the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery forward.

We are thrilled to announce that Katie Fitzpatrick has been named the next President and CEO of the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery, officially beginning her role on June 15!

Katie brings more than 20 years of community-based leadership experience and a deep, foundational understanding of our mission. Her relationship with our organization is also beautifully personal, as she previously served as a childcare volunteer at the Nursery for six years.

We are incredibly grateful to welcome her to the team as we enter this exciting next chapter for our organization and continue to serve families and children in our community with compassion.

Thank you to the Crisis Nursery Board and Ballinger Leafblad, Inc. for their outstanding leadership and support throughout the search process.

Please join us in giving Katie a warm welcome to the Nursery team!
