HRC’s estimates of 12.03% of US population identifies as LGBTQ+ Estimates come from the Census Bureau’s self-administered Household Pulse Survey.

7.08% of US population are Bisexual.

"Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity
The LGBTQ+ population includes a diverse range of sexual orientations and gender identities. Among LGBTQ+ adults, approximately 65% are bisexual+, 30% are le***an or gay, and 5% are straight-identifying transgender or gender-expansive adults. When considering gender identity separately, approximately 21% of LGBTQ+ adults are transgender or gender-expansive, while the remainder are cisgender men or women.

These measures represent two distinct dimensions of a person’s identity; therefore, the sexual orientation and gender identity charts should be interpreted separately, not as categories that combine into a single total."

The Bisexual Resource Center is proud to bring back the Celebrate Bisexuality+ Day Awards! These awards honor the incredible individuals and allies who make our bi+ community stronger, more visible, and more vibrant.

Too often, bi+ people’s work is overlooked, taken for granted, or erased. This is our chance to change that by recognizing the labor and love that goes into sustaining our community.

Nominate someone today and help us shine a spotlight on those who deserve to be celebrated.

This award recognizes an ally who has gone above and beyond in supporting the bi+ community. Whether through advocacy, partnership, or steadfast support, this person has shown up for bi+ people in meaningful ways. They may be a partner, friend, family member, or advocate. What matters most is their unwavering commitment to our community.

Today, July 14th, is International Non-Binary People's Day! 💛🤍💜🖤

Non-binary identities have always existed, and every person deserves to have their identity respected, affirmed, and celebrated. We honor the non-binary members of our bisexual+ community and reaffirm our commitment to creating spaces where everyone can show up as their full, authentic selves, including those whose identities exist beyond and outside of the binary.

Thanks to everyone that helped carry the Bi flag in the TC Pride Parade on Sunday.

It was a rough start, weather wise, but it turned out nice for the parade.
