The club offers a comprehensive package of on ice practices and cutting edge off ice training. Our philosophy is to put your athlete in the hands of some of the best coaches and trainers in the area. We are committed to the development of each and every member of the team. On ice practices will focus on the core hockey skills such as explosive skating speed, edge control, passing, and puck handlin
g ability. The drills are designed to develop fine motor skills and to create muscle memory through high quality repetition and correction. Team concepts will be introduced and implemented to enhance creative play resulting in improved game performance. The goal is to give the athletes the ability to execute in game situations at high speed, under pressure without having to hesitate. Off ice training with The Edge professional trainers will focus on strength, power, balance, and coordination to enhance performance and offer a great compliment to the athletes skill development. Off ice training also offers flexible scheduling so you can work around your summer schedule. Also new to 2012....all teams at the 1998, 1999, 2000 & 2001 levels will spend a week in August at the Ice Edge Hockey Camp in Hoyt Lakes, MN at Giants Ridge! The area is home to 3 of the finest golf courses in Minnesota: Legends, The Quarry & The WIlderness at Fortune Bay as well as the renowned Lake Vermillion. Teams will be formed through open tryouts and athletes will be grouped by similar abilities. Tournaments will be selected to allow for development yet offering a challenging atmosphere.
