Congratulations to Marissa Wood-Sternburgh for successfully defending her MS thesis entitled:
“Epigenomics of Traumatic Brain Injury in Mice.” She is advised by Dr. Peter Larsen and will be pursuing a career in neurodegenerative research.

Congratulations to Shamim Ahmed for successfully defending his PhD thesis entitled:
“Developing HIV-1 vaccine strategies in animal models and bioengineering antibodies against HIV-1 envelope glycoproteins.” Shamim is advised by Dr. Alon Herschhorn.
Dr. Ahmed will be joining the Michael Gale Lab in the Department Microbiology and Immunology.

Congratulations to Michaela Cain successfully defended her PhD thesis entitled:
“Development of a Pichinde Virus Vector Platform for T Cell–targeted Vaccines and Immunotherapy”. Michaela is advised by Drs. Hinh Ly and Yuying Liang.
Michaela will be continuing in the Ly/Liang lab as a postdoc. Way to go, Dr. Cain!
