Congratulations to DeLaSalle High School Music Director David Billingsley III, named a Grammy Music Educator Award Quarterfinalistst by the Recording Academy and Grammy Museum.

With a mission rooted in equity, access, and cultural richness, David Is transforming what music education looks like - from classroom classroom innovation to international performances to new resources and improved access.

“Theres such a need for a new type of school, a new type of learning, new technology,” David said. And so It’s going to be state-of-the-art. It’s going to be one of the best in the world, I really believe that because of what we’re doing and how we’re building.

Meet Mr. Billingsley 👋

David Billingsley joins the DeLaSalle faculty as our new band, choir, and orchestra director! In addition to his work at De, he is the founder of the Billingsley Arts School and has had a successful career throughout the Twin Cities music scene. 🎵

Mr. Billingsley earned his Master's Degree in Music Education - Piano Pedagogy from the University of St. Thomas. Welcome to the Island, Mr Billingsley!
