After 13 years at MCAD, we’re saying goodbye to Kiley Van Note. Kiley has been such an extraordinary individual to have at our program and while we’re sad to see her go, we’re excited to see her start a new journey at The Nature Conservancy. The Conservancy is incredibly lucky to have gained someone who is committed, diligent, and kind.
We’re grateful to have had someone on our team like Kiley for so many years. Congratulations on what great things lie ahead ❣️

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”
β€œI really wanted to honor his thoughts on perception and non-perception. Thought about drawing him between two lines like his early paintings, drawing half of him with the other half disappeared or refracted behind a clear column. Couldn’t figure it out, then just started drawing him and eventually arrived here.

Go read Seeing Is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees.”- Nick Chatfield-Taylor

Such a great book!
