We had the honor of hosting Eder Castillo, an Assistant County Attorney from Hennepin County, who shared his incredible knowledge with our Washington Tech students about current immigration laws. He provided valuable insights into U & T visas and their impact on the Latinx community.

Eder’s connection with our students was absolutely inspiring—they felt heard, seen, and empowered. The questions kept coming at the end of the session, and he answered every single one with so much care and expertise. 💬💡

🌟 What an incredible end to an amazing summer program! 🌟

Today, as a special thank you for their hard work and volunteer efforts, we took our students on a day filled with adventure and discovery. Our journey began at Minneopa State Park, where we marveled at the stunning waterfalls and got up close with the bison on the Bison Drive 🦬.

Next, we climbed the Hermann Heights Monument in New Ulm, taking in the breathtaking views and soaking in the history of this iconic site. Our day continued at Flandrau State Park, where we relaxed in the beautiful weather 🌞.

To wrap it all up, we treated ourselves to some delicious ice cream 🍦 and strolled through the charming historic downtown of New Ulm, learning about its rich history.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our students who participated in our summer activities and contributed to the community through volunteering. You’ve made this summer unforgettable! We can’t wait to see you next year for even more adventures! 🎉

🌿🌸 What a fantastic end to our Outdoors Summer Program 2024! 🌸🌿

Yesterday, our incredible group of students had the opportunity to visit the beautiful Minnesota Arboretum. They explored the stunning gardens, learned about the diverse plant species, and experienced a wonderful sense of peace and relaxation as they immersed themselves in nature. 🏞️✨

🌟 What an amazing day with our summer youth group! 🌟

Today, our incredible team of students did a phenomenal job cleaning up the Shingle Creek bike trail and walk path. In just a few hours, they dove into bushes and forests, picking up all the garbage they could find. 🗑️🌳

Overall, our team collected a huge amount of waste that was polluting the creek and the environment. 🌍✨

Special shoutout to our 1st place team winners, Joffre & Bryan, and our 2nd place team, Jose, Leo & Luz! 🥇🥈

An amazing day with our youth group at the State Wildlife Management Area! 🦅🌲 From spotting incredible birds to exploring the beauty of nature, every moment was unforgettable. 🚗 Even the mosquitoes couldn't dampen our spirits! 🦟 Our students loved visiting the state park and beach for the first time. Here's to many more adventures! 🌊

Today was absolutely amazing! Our youth group volunteered at Feed My Starving Children, packing meals for families in Cuba. 🌎❤️ It was an eye-opener, making us realize how privileged we are and how important it is to give back. By the end of the day, we packed a whopping 3,456 meals that will bring hope and nourishment to those in need. 💪✨ The energy was incredible, and the experience unforgettable! Let's continue to make a difference together!

🌲✨ Over the weekend, we had an amazing time at Osprey Wilds Camp! We immersed ourselves in nature, learning all about the outdoors, conservation, animals, sustainability, and the history of the Great Hinckley Fire. It was a fantastic experience venturing into nature, spending quality time with friends, and learning from incredible professionals. 🌿🦉🌍

(Late post) Despite the rain, we had an amazing day canoeing with our Outdoors Youth Summer Program! 🌧️🚣‍♂️ About 23 students enjoyed the beautiful Bde Maka Ska, making the most of every moment. 😍

🌞 Had an amazing time during the first day of our outdoors summer program yesterday! We hiked, discovered new places in Minneapolis, and held a fun photo contest to see which student could take the best picture. 📸🏞️ It was a great day full of exercise, laughs, and enjoying the beautiful weather together. Excited for more adventures to come! 🚶‍♂️🌿✨
