Spokenword: Open Mic & Slam Semi-Finals
The new Spoken Word Club will host an open mic and poetry slam semi-final from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26 in H.1002 (the Helland Center Multi-Purpose Room).

STUDENT SENATE ELECTIONS
The Student Senate opened up nominations for the following executive officer positions:
*President
*Vice-President
*Director of Communications
*Director of Finance
*Director of Health & Wellness
*Director of Legislative Affairs
*Director of Sustainability
*Director of Technology
Students interested in running for one of these positions must be nominated (the nominations period closes on Sept. 26) and participate in platform speeches on Oct. 3. Elections to be held on Oct. 10. A student is eligible to become a Senate Officer if they meet the following criteria:
currently enrolled in at least 6 credits
not on academic probation, with a cumulative g.p.a. of at least 2.8
no violation of the student code of conduct (within the past calendar year) that resulted in a sanction greater than a warning
a current member of the Senate (attend at least 3 consecutive meetings)
