Minnesota's new Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) team is making waves, winning games, and sporting a familiar face for the college and University communities. Second-year PharmD student, Abby Boreen ( #24 and #22 for the Gophers) is on the roster and set to make her first professional game debut at tonight's match-up against Montreal. Abby reports, "There are multiple ways to watch if you are interested...games are streamed on Bally Sports North if you have that channel or you can also stream on YouTube by typing in PWHL Minnesota vs. Montreal in the search bar!" PharmD students on the Duluth campus and Dr. Sarah Schweiss teamed up with MPSA Operation Diabetes earlier this year for blood glucose testing at the annual Duluth Lions Club Pancake Day event. One hundred glucose checks were conducted by students, which was significantly more than previous years! Shout-out to the Duluth Lions Club for working alongside the College of Pharmacy to make an impact on the health of Duluth community members.
