It was a day of service students in Senegal and Northeast Minneapolis will long remember. 🌎🤝🌍
About 80 French students at Edison High School were studying Ramadan and decided to turn their classroom studies into something more meaningful. So, they partnered with Project Safety Nets to help students at their sister school in Africa during Islam’s holiest month.
Thanks to the Edison students’ efforts, more than 700 students at El Hadji Alioune Dia Elementary School and their families received an Iftar meal bag to break the fast together at home.
Because the students raised more than their target amount of money, they are also sponsoring a clinic day in Senegal. This will allow students at their sister school to get vaccinations to keep them healthy during the rainy season.
👏👏👏
