The submission form for the 2024-2025 edition is now open! The Humphrey Public Affairs Review (HPAR) is calling on students to submit a policy paper, opinion editorial, book review, or creative work for its annual publication. Selected submissions will be featured in the spring’s print edition. Authors will work with the HPAR editorial board to develop their submission for publication and receive a print copy for themselves.

California’s farmworkers—largely migrant Latino/a men, women, and even children—are particularly vulnerable to wildfire hazards because they work outdoors and are thus increasingly exposed to dangerous levels of smoke during each worsening wildfire season.
