At the University of Minnesota, Delta Gammas strive to live by our “Do Good” motto every day.

We understand that joining Delta Gamma is much more than a four year commitment; but rather, DG is a way of life. Since 1887, Delta Gamma has been at the U of M, and for this, we take pride in our membership.

“Joining Delta Gamma has truly defined my college experience and I can’t think of a better place to grow into the best version of yourself! Delta Gamma has given me the opportunity to be surrounded by such incredible women and to be part of a community that has given me lifelong friends and experiences that I will carry with me long after college is over. This summer, I had the privilege of attending Delta Gamma’s Leadership Academy, the Lewis Institute, as well as our National Convention in Dallas, Texas, where I was given the opportunity to connect with DGs from all over the world. Any room filled with Delta Gammas is where I feel most authentically myself and most empowered to Do Good. This place and these people have become so much more than I ever could have imagined and I couldn’t be more grateful for Delta Gamma and all it has given me.”
“As Vice President of Standards, I oversee our member conduct, social events officers, and Standards Team. This role has been integral to my development as a leader and has reinforced the importance of communication, problem solving, and integrity. I love being able to serve as a resource to women in the chapter! “I love Delta Gamma because it gave me the community I had always hoped for as an out-of-state student! When I came to college, I never imagined that I would join a sorority. But when the transition became difficult, I decided to step outside of my comfort zone, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! The people I met and the experiences I had were the highlights of my freshman year. Since then, I’ve found women who I’m so lucky to call my best friends. I truly can’t imagine my college experience without DG.”

“Serving as VP Finance has been such a rewarding experience. I have the responsibility of managing our chapter’s finances while supporting our members, and it’s taught me so much about leadership, accountability, and problem-solving. DG offers positions for every type of person, and I feel so lucky to be entrusted with this one!”

Meet CMT Monday with our VP Communications Melina 💌

“I’m Melina, a junior majoring in Human Resources, and I’m from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Joining Delta Gamma has been one of the best decisions I’ve made during college so far. It has given me so many lifelong friendships, pushed me to grow as a leader, and surrounded me with women who constantly encourage and support one another. I’ve never felt more confident to be myself and I’m so grateful to be surrounded by people who always make me laugh. DG has truly become my home away from home.

As Vice President of Communications, I oversee our chapter’s social media, attendance, internal and external communications, public relations, and Flare. This role has allowed me to combine my passion for connecting with others with valuable leadership experience, while helping me grow both personally and professionally. Serving on CMT has been an incredible opportunity, and I’m so thankful for the amazing women I get to work alongside.”
