At Annunciation, learning goes beyond the textbook. Our students explore STEM through hands-on, project-based experiences that spark creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving. These 4th graders recently designed and created their own bubble wands using 3D printing technology, bringing their ideas to life one layer at a time.

From coding and robotics to engineering and design, students have opportunities to build skills, explore their interests, and discover what's possible.

It was a joyful celebration of the Annunciation community today at Target Field!

Students, families, parishioners, staff, alumni, and friends came together for an afternoon of baseball, connection, and community. Seeing so many members of the Annunciation family gathered in one place was a powerful reminder of the strength, spirit, and sense of belonging that make this community so special.

We are also excited to share that the Minnesota Twins will be renovating our beloved wiffle ball field. We are incredibly grateful for this investment in a place that has brought generations of Annunciation students, families, and neighbors together.

This project is a partnership between the Twins and and , and is fully funded by the , the Pohlad Family Foundation, and . We can't wait to see this cherished community space renewed for future generations to enjoy.

Thank you to the Minnesota Twins for welcoming us to Target Field and to everyone who joined us for this special day!

Last fall, COMPAS Principal Teaching Artist Frank Sentwali joined our Annunciation community for Opening the Portal, a program in which Frank uses spoken word poetry as a powerful portal to personal expression and meaningful connection

During his time with us, Frank made a promise: he would write a spoken word poem for the young people of Annunciation.

As promised, he has done just that.

We are honored to share "The Loudest Annunciation," a poem inspired by the strength, spirit, and voices of our students. Thank you, Frank, for this beautiful gift to our community and for helping our young people see the power of their own stories.

Last Thursday, we celebrated the end of our school year with one of our favorite Annunciation traditions: Field Day.

As students spent the day playing games, cheering on classmates, and enjoying one final day together, it felt like a fitting way to close a year that has meant so much to our community.

In his final message of the school year, Principal Matt DeBoer reflected on the challenge of finding the right words for all that this year has held:

"There is joy, hope, sadness, inspiration, laughter, love, anger, concern, uncertainty, longing, wonder, and perhaps above all, awe. I am so incredibly proud of every single student, staff member, and parent in our Annunciation Community for what you’ve endured, persevered through, and accomplished this year. I’ll find a more polished way to capture it in the coming weeks, but for today, I simply stand in awe, and I invite everyone to find some time to seek some quiet and peace and look in awe at what has been done this year. We still have voids in our hearts knowing that Harper and Fletcher were not physically with us today, but I firmly believe that they were looking down on us, shining their lights, and giving us all that we needed to get to this point of our collective journey.

Thank you, Annunciation Family, for all you have done and all that you are."

As we wrap up our school year with the last day of school today, there was no better way to celebrate than with our School’s Out Wiffle Ball Tournament.

From big hits and friendly competition to lots of laughter, cheering, and unforgettable moments, it was such a fun way for students to come together and close out another incredible year at Annunciation.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize, participate in, and support the tournament. Moments like these are such a special reminder of the spirit, connection, and joy that make Annunciation so special.

We wish all of our students, families, and staff a wonderful summer ahead!

Congratulations to the Annunciation Class of 2026!

Yesterday, we celebrated not only all that these students have accomplished, but also the people they have become along the way. They have filled our classrooms, hallways, courts, stages, and community with joy, laughter, friendship, leadership, and Spirit.

We are so proud of each member of the Class of 2026 and grateful for the gift they have been to Annunciation. As they take their next steps, we know they will continue to learn, lead, and make a difference wherever they go.

Congratulations, graduates. As you begin your next chapter, know that you will always have a home here at Annunciation.

As our eighth graders prepare to graduate, they take a moment to reflect on the memories, friendships, and experiences that have shaped their time at Annunciation.

From favorite traditions and meaningful moments to the people who made this community feel like home, these reflections offer a glimpse into what makes Annunciation such a special place to learn, grow, and belong.

We are so proud of the Class of 2026 and grateful for the joy, leadership, and spirit they have shared with our community.

From little uniforms and classroom smiles to graduation week.

As graduation week begins, we’re taking a look back at the Class of 2026 through the years. It is hard to believe these little Annunciation students are now preparing to graduate 8th grade.

We are so proud of the young people they have become and look forward to celebrating this special milestone all week long.

A special thank you to Annunciation parent Megan Scherf for the beautiful black-and-white portraits.
