We're getting closer, and we couldn't be more excited!

Construction on the Annunciation Preschool and Spirit Center continues to make great progress. Every week brings us one step closer to welcoming our preschool families into a beautiful new space designed just for our youngest learners.

While construction continues, our teachers are staying busy leading Summer Adventure Camp and preparing classrooms, materials, and everything needed for a successful school year. There's still work to be done, but we're grateful for the many teams working behind the scenes to bring this vision to life.

We can't wait to open the doors and welcome our preschool families into the new Annunciation Preschool this fall. Thank you for your continued prayers, patience, and support as we build something truly special together!

This is what an IB education looks like: students using inquiry, compassion, and action to serve others!

As the only Catholic International Baccalaureate (IB) World School in Minnesota, Annunciation empowers students to ask meaningful questions, explore real-world issues, and take action to make a positive impact.

As part of their 5th grade Exhibition project, this group of students organized a bake sale during our end-of-year Wiffle Ball Tournament to support two causes connected to their research. Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Annunciation community, they raised more than $600, which was equally donated to the Animal Humane Society and VEAP.

We are so proud of these young leaders and grateful to everyone who supported their efforts.

As much as we love summer, we have to admit... we miss our students!!

Our campus has been full of life with preschool, extended day, summer camps, and other activities, but it's just not the same without our hallways filled with the smiles, laughter, and energy of all our students.

We hope you're enjoying a summer filled with rest, adventure, and time with family and friends. Before we know it, backpacks will be packed, classrooms will be buzzing, and we'll once again have the joy of seeing your faces every day.

Reflecting on the year ahead, Principal Matt DeBoer writes, "We have traversed through some dark times, and will continue to face challenges and hardships, but we know—and believe—that there is always Light." It is this hope that will continue to guide our Annunciation community as we grow together in faith.

Mr. DeBoer reminds us that "peace is not passive—we must work toward it." As a community inspired by the example of Jesus, we are called to be beacons of light and to pursue peace through our serving, learning, growing, healing, and worshipping together.

May God continue to guide our feet into the way of peace as we begin another year at Annunciation.

At Annunciation, students are challenged academically, rooted in faith, and encouraged to discover their unique gifts through STEM, the arts, athletics, leadership, and service. It's an education that prepares students for success while surrounding them with a community that knows and loves them.

We still have space available for the 2026–2027 school year. New 1st–8th grade families may also qualify for our Transfer Grant, which includes a $2,000 tuition credit in year one and an additional $1,000 tuition credit in year two.

It was a joy to watch our youngest disciples grow in faith, build new friendships, sing with enthusiasm, and discover more about God's amazing love at Rainforest Falls VBS!

As we wrapped up our rainforest adventure, we celebrated two beautiful truths: God's steadfast love endures forever and God is forever. Together, we reflected on Jesus' Death and Resurrection and the hope we have through His promise of eternal life.

A special thank you to our 40 incredible middle school volunteers, whose energy, leadership, and care made this week so meaningful for every camper. We are also deeply grateful to our dedicated adult volunteers who brought the VBS experience to life each day. Your generosity, faith, and servant hearts made this unforgettable week possible.

As our community prepares for Fourth of July celebrations, we recognize that this holiday may feel different for many members of the Annunciation and Minneapolis community.

For some children, families, staff, parishioners, and neighbors, the sounds and smells of fireworks may bring back memories of August 27. Everyone's experience is different, and every person's response is valid.

We are grateful to our neighbors for the care and compassion they continue to show our community. If you're planning to celebrate, we invite you to be mindful of those who may be impacted by loud, unexpected fireworks and to consider attending one of the many professional fireworks displays throughout the Twin Cities or celebrating in other ways.
