Check our calendar for multiple date options for Mending 101, Darning 101, Bias Rug Braiding and Scotch Darning! It’s no secret that we adore offering classes at Roosevelt so don’t wait! These classes fill up quick.

Curiosity Studio is seeking artists and instructors to propose drop-in programming!

This can take place in one of two styles:

Open Studio: Invite others into the creative process through a concept or idea. Create the container for folks to play without the expectation of an outcome.
Skill Share: A drop in offering that invites participants to learn a creative skill outside of a traditional class format. Teach a skill that benefits from ample time for practice but requires short instruction.

Selected programming must be completed between October 12th 2026 - April 15th, 2027. All programs will be free to participants. Facilitating artists will receive a stipend of $300 for their program with materials provided. Learn more about the studio space and the application process through the links above. This is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

That’s a wrap on Curiosity Camps 2026! Feeling fortunate for the opportunity to witness the boundless creativity of these young artists.

Thanks for our partners at Minneapolis Community Education and GMCC ! If you have the opportunity to thank a youth worker, will you? These programs are a colossal effort, with no shortage of pivoting required this day and age. We are grateful to our support staff and Lyn 🌙 for helping us make it happen!

Tonight is the MPLS Parks Pollinator Party! Join us from 5-8 pm at Lyndale Park Gardens (north of the rose gardens) for music, food, art and science. Pull a print and take home a poster!

Each print features a back side with tools for navigating climate grief. There is a lot of breaking open happening in the world right now. It can feel overwhelming. This tool can help you honor and name these feelings to keeps them moving. Just like the monarch’s incredible metamorphosis, our emotions can change us too. We feel lucky to be feeling and celebrating with you 🦋

Our favorite place to be in the summer is Midtown Farmer’s Market. It’s challenging to summarize our love in one post, so why don’t you swing by tomorrow (7/18) and we will tell you? Bring your totes, tees, etc and we will screen print our tomato proclamation to help support Midtown Bucks!

Midtown Bucks is a community-powered program that protects food access at the market for EBT users who have been impacted by federal funding cuts. Make a sliding scale donation of $15-50 between 9am-1pm and your donation will be doubled! Plus, tomatoes are very in this season.

Immense gratitude to the market’s organizers and the labor that makes it ALL happen. 🫶

Curiosity Studio was lucky to be present for last week’s .coalition in Detroit. Endless gratitude for the organizers and labor that make it the best time, every time. Special thanks to the artists of Detroit that opened their doors and shared their stories. It is a gift to be in practice with y’all! 🫶

Curiosity Studio has the best partners. For the past four years we have built relationship with our friends at Martin Luther Care; creating meaningful art making opportunities for their residents and community members. They’ve supported our facilitation and trusted that even when a product isn’t created, connection is made. Enabling new forms of socializing and play are invaluable!

📣Thursday June 11th! Remembering through Relief with !

This pride, create hand-printed relief prints that honor our histories and celebrate our present existence. Participants will print multiple impressions of a relief block by hand.

Is there truly anything better than making a piñata with all of your friends? Breaking it, I suppose!

We can’t wait to be making a mess again at Super Sanford summer camps. Only a few spots left at Piñatas and Paper Mache for grades 1st-2nd held July 6-9th. We’ve linked the sign up for you above!
