Researchers at the University of Minnesota found that ovarian cancer patients with high levels of stroma in their tumors are twice as likely to have resistance to standard chemotherapy. The non-cancerous tissue that supports tumors, stroma, is a powerful indicator of patient outcomes and chemoresistance.
