Great board meeting brainstorming the upcoming semester with the awesome HR professor, Larry Bourgerie, and TC SHRM College and University Relations Lead, Angela Leathley! Exciting things coming 😊

The SHRM Board of 20-21 School Year would like to give a warm welcome and best wishes to all that you’ve had a relaxing summer break! We are eager to catch up with you all soon in September, even if it’s virtual! We’ve been working hard to plan some exciting and insightful meetings and events, so stay tuned! Also, follow our new platform .edu on Instagram!

In the meantime, we’d like to take some time to introduce our board so you can get to know a little bit more about us! First is our one and only virtuous leader and president, Madison Fry!

Madison is a senior majoring in Human Resources & Industrial Relations and Public & Nonprofit Management. Madison joined SHRM last fall after declaring an HRIR major. This summer, she has been enjoying hiking and spending time outdoors or road tripping with friends. Currently, her favorite song is Forgive Me by ChloexHalle.

“SHRM has been such an inviting, inclusive and enlightening space for me. After trying out several clubs, I finally found a community in SHRM. I’m so honored and excited to lead SHRM this school year as we navigate how our club will operate amidst a global pandemic. I’m looking forward to meeting new members, seeing returning faces, and creating an engaging and fun virtual environment!”

Hello SHRM friends! We have cancelled our meeting tomorrow. Instead, we encourage everyone to attend an event put on by Mossier!

HR is at the forefront of changes in the workplace. This event will cover topics that are applicable to all businesses.
