CONGRATULATIONS! to our Undergraduate Philosophy Major Scholarship Winners for 2015-16!!!

Philosophy undergraduate major Jonathan Willard is the recipient of both a Cattron-Woodbridge Scholarship and Dr. Eldon L. and Helen H. Stevens Scholarship; Philosophy undergraduate major Kevin Lie is the recipient of a Cattron-Woodbridge Scholarship; and undergraduate major Jeffrey Arcand is the recipient of the Dr. Eldon L. and Helen H. Stevens Scholarship. Each of the scholarships confers a stipend of $1,000 for AY2015-16, made possible through the generosity of our donors.
Lawrence Cattron was a philosophy major in 1930 and found the experience to be invaluable in shaping his life and career. Frederick Woodbridge was an early 20th century American philosopher who taught at Minnesota. Helen Stevens, in appreciation of the opportunity the university gave her and her husband, established the scholarship in honor of him in order to make the same opportunity available to the upcoming generation of philosophers.
Congratulations to this very accomplished group of undergraduate majors!

The Fund 04/24/2015

Jobs That Matter

The Fund for the Public Interest (aka “the Fund”) is looking for smart, hard-working students who are eager to make a difference.

The Fund works with some of the top progressive organizations in the country like Environment America and US PIRG. And we're hiring!

Specifically, we're hiring full time campaign staff to work on a campaign to protect Minnesota’s 10,000 lakes. Loopholes in the Clean Water Act leave nearly 2 million miles of our country's streams and the drinking water for 117 million Americans vulnerable to pollution. We are working to ensure that our drinking water and all our waterways are protected by supporting the EPA's efforts to close these loopholes and enforce the law. I’m hiring college students to join our staff to help mobilize public support for clean water.

We are looking for smart, motivated students who want to get their hands dirty and make a real impact on some of the most critical issues facing our society.

If you are interested in applying, visit our website at www.jobsthatmatter.org!

I’m looking forward to speaking with you more about our positions!
