NAVIGATING DIFFERENT SPACES WITH YOUR MULTIPLE IDENTITIES

This workshop will explore multiple and intersecting identities, and how they show up in different parts of your graduate life. The workshop will include:

introducing the concept of Black legal scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw intersectionality.

an activity reflecting on one’s multiple and intersecting identities.

exploring how our identities “show up” in different spaces. 

a short dialogue together with the activity. 

We will create a safer and braver space so we can all show up as our full and authentic selves.

Join us tonight from 4-6pm for a cozy movie night! There will be blankets, drinks, and snacks! The movie choices are cloudy with a chance of meatballs, ice age, garfield the tale of two kitties, and bolt. Come hang out to have your choice of which to watch!

Join the Q***r Student Cultural Center and Disabled Student Cultural Center tonight from 4-6pm in the DSCC for our collaborative ASL short film night! All experience levels with ASL welcome and a fajita bar will be provided! See you there!

Join us next Monday 11/10 from 4-6pm in the DSCC (CMU 213) for fun collage making! Supplies will be provided but feel free to bring your own clippings and decorations! Catering by noodles and co will also be provided!
