The first documentary, first animated film, and first ever Mandarin-language film to be chosen by Canada for the Oscars. A thrilling story told through stunning artwork; ETERNAL SPRING (長春) is something you don't want to miss!

A documentary that plays out like a real heist thriller. ETERNAL SPRING (長春) tells the story of a group of Falun Gong practitioners that stood up against the brutal persecution in China on March 2002 by hijacking the TV signal.

Combining present-day footage with 3D animation inspired by comic book illustrator Daxiong’s (Justice League, Star Wars) art, Eternal Spring retraces the event on its 20th anniversary, and brings to life an unprecedented story of defiance and of resiliency of those fighting for religious freedom in a mixed-media documentary masterpiece.

Ms. Ji Yunzhi, mother of a New York architect, has passed away 7 weeks after being arrested only days prior to the 2022 Winter Olympics.

It is suspected that she was beaten to death in the detention center. Family members saw Ji’s “esophagus cut open and her face and shoulder stained with blood” when they went to see her body at Bairin Hospital.

After hearing about her sudden death, U.S. Senator Rick Scott issued a formal statement on March 29 declaring, “Beijing’s gross campaign against Falun Gong practitioners has gone on for far too long, and its latest victim is an innocent woman who was simply living out her beliefs in the face of Communist China’s oppressive authoritarian regime.

My heart breaks for Simon and his father dealing with this tragic and senseless loss.”

Defiance in the Kingdom of Fake News - Faluninfo TV 04/27/2021

Defiance in the Kingdom of Fake News - Faluninfo TV In the northeastern city of Changchun, China, a group of six ordinary people — a truck driver, a food vendor, a housewife, etc. — gathered in secret to plan an extraordinary task: to break into the television broadcasting system of the most tyrannical regime on earth – that of the CCP.

For decades, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has used various means to exert influence on foreign governments, manipulate global perception of the Chinese government, and silence critics. While the CCP has a history of utilizing direct political and economic threats, it also often uses soft power tactics such as economic bribery, honey traps, and business deals to covertly expand its influence. These soft power techniques also include the establishment of hundreds of Confucius Institutes around the world.

Traditional Chinese culture is a worldwide source of attraction, and in recent years the CCP has created the Confucius Institute-- an educational partnership with universities around the world to promote Chinese language and culture and facilitate cultural exchange. In reality, these Confucius Institutes are veiled efforts to advance CCP propaganda and export censorship to international university campuses. Confucius Institutes have faced backlash from Tibetan, Hong Kong, Uighur, Vietnamese, and Taiwanese communities, as well as from governments around the world. Most recently, the United States Senate unanimously approved a bill to tighten controls on Confucius Institutes across the country.

Tonight, join Students For Falun Gong, Students for a Free Tibet, and Athenai Institute for a free online film screening of "In the Name of Confucius" and a panel discussion tonight at 7:00 - 9:30 PM EDT. Watch the award-winning documentary and listen to 4 expert panelists speak on Confucius Institutes, academic freedom, and US-China relations.
