Welcome COBAT’s newest team member, Brenna Drake! She is our department's valued and deeply respected administrative assistant.
Let’s get to know her:
“Jesus changes everything…feel free to ask me my testimony sometime. I really believe in the power of relational connection, discipleship, and community; so, I’m looking forward to getting to know COBAT students!
Winter is my favorite season, snow brings me so much joy, and cows are my favorite animal.
I’m a big fan of people, coffee, and cheese.
I love the thrill of thrifting clothes and home décor; it truly is one of my favorite hobbies.
I’m also down for a good book or podcast.
In my non-COBAT hours, you’ll find me goofing around with my daughters and spending time with my husband and friends.”

COBAT School of Technology in partnership with Milestone Community Development (local Somali partner) applied for a Ramsey County grant that required uniting people across boundaries to leverage the power of economic development…and we got it!
With the grant, we have been providing certificate training in IT Support and Data Analytics to 20 Somali young adults who were under-employed. These community members have ranged in age between 18-25 and are engaged with MCD. This 8-week program has been facilitated by Komla Adevoun (NCU IT) and Colin Miller (NCU School of Technology Director)!
It gets better…
Students who successfully complete the certificates will create a resume and interview to be placed at one of several business partners for a paid internship!
