The Free Lutheran Schools are currently seeking a part-time Free Lutheran Seminary (FLS) Admin Assistant. The typical work week will consist of 4 hours a day (9am-1pm) for a total of 20 hours. The FLS Admin Assistant reports to the Office Manager. The ideal candidate will have skills in the following areas:
Support of Seminary Dean:
The right person will be ambitious to complete their tasks and responsibilities as well as have the ability to anticipate needs that will arise. They will take initiative to see ensure those needs are met. Responsibilities include processing mail and emails, answering the phone, and maintaining office files.
Interaction with Students:
This position interacts often with students. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, be easy to work with, and be the point of contact for many Seminary aspects. This includes but is not limited to general class schedule knowledge, communicating announcements, and taking attendance.
Hospitality:
Planning and providing support for various events throughout the school year is a large part of this role. Events range from small Seminary luncheons to large scale conferences hosting 100+ visitors on campus. This position also order flowers as needed for hospitalizations and funerals as well as communicating cleaning needs to keep the chapel space clean.

Hourly Rate: Dependent on experience - $17.00 to $20.00
Work Hours: 11:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Monday through Friday
Hours per week: 25 Hours per week
This position is responsible for the following:
Manage and address various Staff & Faculty I.T. issues – hardware and software.
Be familiar with and troubleshoot various Campus I.T. needs associated with door security access systems, Office365, domain/network, Slack IM program, and the Campus camera security system.
Set up new computers by loading the needed software (Ex: Microsoft Office) onto the device and installing the desktop/laptop in the employee's workstation.
Install printers and trouble shoot printing issues.
Manage and troubleshoot various student computer lab or wireless issues (connectivity, printers not working etc.)
Work closely with our Campus I.T. Manage Services Vendor to appropriately escalate I.T. issues.
Assist V.P. of Operations with various I.T. projects around Campus.
Perform other I.T. related functions as assigned by the V.P. of Operations.

Today was the Internship Workshop for the Seminary. A very small number of interns attended this event on campus with the majority of faculty and seminarians participating via live stream. Interns who had been serving congregations this past year presented their research projects. Please be praying for these seminarians as they go out and serve as pastors!
