Heyo! Today is . I’m supporting Northside Achievement Zone, Center for Victims of Torture and Southside Family Nurturing Center.

I’m two days out from my biggest hometown show of the year, which means it’s raining stage plots, lighting schemes, and the occasional nervous butterfly in my apartment.

The group MONAKR, fronted by friend and Minneapolis-native Matthew Santos, will open the show. If you’re unfamiliar, I’d recommend starting with either "Diamond” or “Calling Out” from their EP, link below. (Verrrry catchy stuff, Mr. Santos.)

A shout out is also due to the good folks Surly Brewing Company. We’ve partnered up to give away a block of tickets to the volunteers, teachers, and staff at some badass non-profits including The Bridge, Southside Family Nurturing Center, Northside Achievement Zone, and Prepare and Prosper. I am very much looking forward to hosting all these unsung heroes, and you know, singing at them. Thanks for making it possible, Surly.

You can score tickets to the show here. See you soon.
New to the marketing and events role, Libby takes joy in planning events that plant seeds of generosity and support for great causes within our community! (Shout out to Brenna Sheehan who was the previous hostess with the mostest!)

Today our Pre-K students were experimenting with absorbency as a part of our unit on wind and water. We made predictions about what materials would absorb or repel water and then experimented to see if our guesses were correct.

We appreciate the outpouring of support and concern for the safety of our families, staff and building during recent rioting in our community. It is important to acknowledge that the events surrounding George Floyd's tragic death are the result of systemic racism for which we, as an organization, are committed to dismantling. We are still here, still assisting families with basic needs support, and available to support families recovering and experiencing trauma from it. As far as we can tell, no direct physical harm has come to the families we serve or to our diverse staff. Thank you for your care during these challenging times.
