Fun fact: 2 of these girls joined mid-season after watching their brothers and we are thankful they did. They may be cute but don't let them fool you, they are tough!

NYWA Pre-K -4th Grade Update
1st & 2nd Grade- Barrett Nofsinger
Round 1- NofsingerοΏΌ vs Coudron (Monticello) win by decision 2-0.
Quarterfinals- Nofsinger vs Billings (Bemidji) lost by major decision 2-13.
Semis Round 2- Nofsinger vs Berthiame (Scott West) lost by fall.
3rd & 4th grade- Tyson Edelbach
Round 1- Edelbach had a bye
Quarterfinals- Edelbach vs Bullerman (Adrian) win by tech fall.
Semifinals- Edelbach vs Saewert (New York Mills) won by fall.

Cons semis- Becker vs Lundgren (Mankato West) with a 3-14 major decision loss.
5th Place Match- Becker vs Oksness (Perham) with a hard 0-1 loss.

7th & 8th Grade- 150 lbs- Jeston Edelbach
Semi cons- Edelbach vs Moses (HLWW) with a quick 42 second fall πͺ
3rd Place Match- Edelbach vs Bullerman (Marshall) losing by fall.

Round 1- Edelbach vs Bergstrom (Mahnomen-Waubun) win by fall in 2:15.
Quarterfinals- Edelbach vs Bullerman (Marshall) win by decision 20-16.
Semifinals- Edelbach vs Lopez (Windom/ Mountain Lake) lost by tech fall.
5th & 6th grade- Evan Becker
Round 1- Becker vs Landkammer (Springfield) win by fall in 27 seconds π₯
Quarterfinals- Becker vs Chapman (Detroit Lakes) win by decision 6-4.
Semifinals- Becker vs Kratt (Summit) lost by fall.
Both Jeston and Evan advance to the Parade of Champions tonight at 5:15 pm at Mayo Civic Center.

The send-off parade will start shortly after 2:15 p.m. from W-K High School, traveling down Hiawatha Drive, Broadway Ave, 3rd Street past St. Felix School, Pembroke Ave, Main St, and ending at the volleyball courts on Bridge Ave.

WKAP YOUTH WRESTLING STATE SEND OFF
Wednesday, March 25 at 2:15 p.m.
Help cheer on and support our youth wrestlers as they make their way through the town. Departing from W-K High School shortly after 2:15 p.m., they will drive down Hiawatha Drive, turn right on to Broadway Ave and head down 3rd Street going past St. Felix School, turning right on Pembroke Ave, left on Main St, and left on Bridge Ave and ending at the volleyball courts.
Congratulations to the EIGHT wrestlers who will be participating in the NYWA State Tournament.
Wrestling Thursday, March 26th and possibly Friday:
Jeston Edelbach from Wabasha- 7th & 8th grade, 150 lbs.
Wrestling Friday, March 27th will be:
Evan Becker from Wabasha- 5th & 6th grade, 108 lbs.

Barrett Nofsinger from Rollingstone- 1st & 2nd grade, 70 lbs.
