The Consortium for the Study of the Premodern World creates a new confederation of the many extant premodern studies constituencies at the University of Minnesota and establishes a new synergistic mission to promote integrated, multidisciplinary research and teaching in global premodern studies.

CSPW and the Minneapolis Institute of Art have been teaming up to reinstall the Mia Tudor room with a temporary exhibit featuring the relationship between Early Modern England and the Islamic world. The exhibit will officially launch in June.

The Consortium for the Study of the Premodern World (CSPW) and the Digital Arts, Sciences, & Humanities (DASH) program at the University of Minnesota are pleased to announce that we have received a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities for our collaborative project "An Enlightenment Print Phenomenon Unbound: Building a Digital Portal for Exploring Bernard and Picart’s Religious Ceremonies and Customs of the World".
JB Shank (CSPW, CEMH, and UMH History) and Benjamin Wiggins (DASH) will serve as co-principal investigators on this project.
