A CSE class group is collaborating with Women of Color in STEM (WoCS) alongside the Society of Women Engineers, U of M and the SASE - UMN to host a silent auction to fundraise for WoCS! WoCS is a small, minority-oriented student organization whose mission is to provide a support group for students in STEM majors and for students who identify as women of color. Student organizations like this one provide a space for students to connect and engage with like-minded peers on a variety of topics; such as cultural identity, academic major, and extracurricular activities. All funds will be used to help WoCS kickstart their activities as a newly-formed student organization. The silent auction will be held in Bruininks Hall 412 on April 1st from 5:00-6:30PM and will include free Cane’s lemonade and a wide variety of auction items (including books, art pieces, gift cards to local woman-owned businesses, and much more)!
