Planning for this year's Washburn Whirl has started and we need your help!

Many of last year’s volunteers graduated in June, and we have a number of open volunteer spots. Please consider bringing your time and talents to this crucial fundraising event.

Please join Washburn Arts Council tomorrow evening at Minnehaha Falls for our end-of-the-year meeting and celebration!

As we gather to reflect on a successful year of arts programming at Washburn, we also look ahead to what’s next.

During the meeting we will elect new board members for the coming year and form the committee to kickoff planning for the 2026 Whirl.

All are welcome! There are many ways to help plan the Whirl (our primary annual fundraising event) and most of it is plug & play. You can make a real difference with just a few hours of your time.

Unwind & Wine is an official Washburn Whirl ‘Great Gathering’ happening this Wednesday. There are a few spots left! Enjoy a restorative yoga class at YogaFit Linden Hills followed by a social hour with refreshments.

WAC is currently recruiting for the 2026 2027 school year! If your student benefits from any performing arts or visual arts programming at Washburn, it’s time to get involved with WAC.

We need to fill several WAC board positions, form a Whirl planning committee for our 2026 fundraising gala, and also recruit a robust group of volunteers for next year.

Washburn Arts Council needs you! As you may know, WAC is an entirely volunteer lead organization that supports visual and performing arts programs at Washburn through advocacy, volunteer coordination and essential fundraising.

WAC provides over $30,000 per year to support Washburn’s award-winning arts programs and make opportunities accessible to all students.

If you’d like to learn more about how to get involved with Washburn Arts Council, we invite you to a meet and greet Saturday, February 21 at 8:15 AM at Seward Coop.
