🏫 Hale Open House – Thursday, September 3! 🐻

Hale families, it’s almost time to head back to school! Be sure to check out the annual Hale Open House on Thursday, September 3. This is a great opportunity to locate your classroom, meet your teacher, explore the building, and get ready for a wonderful school year!

While exploring the school, be sure to come visit the PTA table in the cafeteria!

🍕 Our First Dine Out of the School Year! 🍕

Parkway Pizza MN is once again partnering with the Hale & Field PTAs for a monthly Dine Out Fundraiser! 🎉

Join us at Parkway Pizza in Longfellow TODAY, Tuesday, September 1 (and the first Tuesday of every month this school year!) and enjoy some delicious pizza, pasta, or hoagies—dine in or carry out! 🍕🍝🥪

What is a Dine Out Fundraiser? Throughout the school year, generous local restaurants partner with us by donating a portion of their sales back to our PTAs. It’s an easy (and delicious!) way to support our schools while enjoying a meal with your family.

🌱 Help Us Get Hale Ready for Back-to-School! 🌱

Calling all gardeners (and anyone who doesn’t mind pulling a few weeds)! The Hale Landscape Committee is looking for help to spruce up the school grounds before the first day of school. 🐻

📅 Thursday, August 27
⏰ 5:00–7:00 PM — stop by anytime!
📍 Hale Elementary

We’ll be adding flowers to the entrance planters, pulling weeds, sweeping, and giving the gardens a general cleanup. Any amount of time you can give is appreciated! Kids are welcome to come help, too!

Bring your gardening gloves, clippers, brooms, rakes, or other garden tools if you have them. We’ll have plants, compost, and some tools available as well. Refreshments will be provided by the PTA!

Can you believe there's just over a month of summer vacation left? ☀️ As we start getting ready for the new school year, here's a friendly reminder:

School supplies are covered thanks to Hale and the Hale PTA, the only items your student will need to bring are:
🎒A backpack
💧A water bottle
👟A good pair of athletic shoes for gym class

🏷️ It's also a great time to label your student's belongings so they can skip a trip to the Lost & Found. A permanent marker works great, or if you prefer custom labels, check out Name Bubbles!

📣 Reminder for our incoming kindergarten families!

Join us for the next Summer Kindergarten Playground Meetup on Wednesday, August 5, from 5:00–6:30 PM at the Hale Playground. 🐻

It's a great chance for incoming kindergarteners and their families to meet new friends, connect with other families, and have some fun before the school year begins!
